Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a licensed MN state family child care provider. I have always been extremely passionate about children, teaching, and families. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a mom and having lots of children. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would respond with, "A marine biologist or a teacher." As an adult in college, I pursued the more practical of the two, a teaching career, at the Univeristy of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where I majored in English, minored in Family Studies (because I just love learning about families), and then received my teaching license at the graduate level. I taught for a while and quickly learned that while I loved the relationships I had with the students, helping students learn, and running my own show, so to speak, I found that teaching took up every ounce of my free time, which just was not something that would have worked well for my husband and I as we were planning on starting a family.
I took my teaching skills and love of children and became a nanny for two different amazing families with children ranging in age between twelve weeks to six years old. After relocating from the Twin Cities to Stewartville and welcoming a baby girl to our family, I decided to open my own family child care where I can provide wonderful care for multiple children, care for my own child, and spend my days making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families. I absolutely love my child care business and all the amazing children and families I get to care for every day! I am so blessed!
